Welcome to Universal Connections........

This month I thought I would write about Magic. For many of us Magic comes in simple forms such as movies like Harry Potter, Shrek and Lord of the Rings or TV shows such as Charmed or Merlin.

What is Magic? Well to me magic is believing in yourself, focussing on loving thoughts, acts and intentions....feel your heart and soul connect with the wonder around you….instead of saying I can’t or I don’t have time – STOP and go outside and look up in the sky and see the beauty

everywhere…..Many of the Ancient Gods and Goddesses of time connected with Mother Earth and utilized all that she supplied for their ancient ways of healing and magic in times of Avalon, Egypt,

Atlantis and Lemuria and many other mythical places.

Below is a Wiccan Rede, a poem by Adriana Porter which was written early last century but not published until 1975. There are many versions of the Wiccan Rede, this one below is from Lucy Cavendish’s book – White Magic.

Bide within the law you must,   In perfect love and perfect trust

Live you must and let to live,   Fairly take and fairly give

Light of eye and sort of touch,  Speak you little listen much

Honour the old ones in deed and name,  Let love and light be

our guides again Merry meet and merry part,  Bright the cheeks

and warm the heart Mind the threefold laws you should,  Three

times bad and three times good, These eight wards the rede fulfull:

“An’ harm none, do what ye will”.

So in this next month of Halloween, see the ghosts and the unseen For do not worry no harm at all, for some of you will hear the call Orbs, Angels and Lights abound,just relax and see the magic around

As spring arrives we start to feel the warmth on our backs as the sun shines, bringing a new day, a new beginning and for some a new lease on life......we come out of our hibernation and we feel stronger, refreshed and grounded......ready to take on the world!! With the sense of renewal we look at creating, completion and rebirth and I feel as the energy has been strong and rather powerful these last few months its almost like Mother Earth as been holding her breath, and you can now relax as the new energy blows gently in the new spring air.....

Last Wednesday night I spoke of Destiny, Karma and Fate.....there are a few things I would like to remind you all about Karma in particular and how we create Karma:

1. Through thoughts

2. Through words

3. Through actions that we perform ourselves

4. Through actions others do under our instruction

Everything that we have ever thought, spoken, done or caused is Karma. With regards to Destiny, well that can change in the blink of an eye.....Destiny and Karma are shaped long before the body comes into reality. You are in charge of your destiny, you are your own Master. Create what you want....Focus on what you desire, not what you don’t have....there is no point, its just a waste of energy....take control, have faith and believe you are a walking, breathing miracle !!!

Universal Connections June Newsletter

Well...... Winter is certainly here and with many changes....I for one, love the cold crisp air that wraps around us like a blanket of mist...There is much to be said about Magic and winter.....I know anytime is perfect for Magic but the morning fog and the early morning stars make a mystical time for all.

As I sat down to write my newsletter, I thought it would be about Magic, however, New Beginnings have arrived instead. What a month it has been!

For me it has been a time of waking up and looking at the bigger picture of life and realising that what you see is not always what you get. I know that many of us have grown so much and I know that sometimes as we grow, we have to walk away, for not everyone grows and moves forward at the same pace as we would all like. Personally my lesson has been – take off the rose coloured glasses and see the truth, and that’s a hard lesson to take. For when you walk the path of Spirit, whether it’s through Reiki, Crystals, Tarot or Mediumship – you are expected to know all, see all and be all – well I am not God, I am the same as everyone else with a gift of giving in a special way – no one is perfect – only God...and we are all in this together....so instead of worrying about petty conversations, or what people may or may not think of you – MOVE FORWARD, SPEAK YOUR TRUTH, LEARN TO GROW AND BE YOURSELF!! I have so many people say to me “I want to learn to be like you”...remember:

1. You are you; we are all on a different journey.

2. Make a commitment to yourself and the Universe.

3. Accept and love who you are and honour yourself.....

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets and anger, so love the people who treat you well, who love you no matter what and let go with love the people who don’t – friendship is a two way street and nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it – so no matter what your lesson is at the moment.....know that you are safe, protected and loved....Remember how powerful you truly are....New Beginnings are very frightening, but once you start, it’s the best feeling ever !!

So Take Care on your magical journey with much wonder, laughter and blessings.....
